Mickey Mouse - Mickey symbolies all that is Disney doesn't he? From the white gloves to the iconic ears he is all that is Disney.
Minnie Mouse - There had to be a partner for Mickey, and Minnie fits the bill perfectly.
Magic Kingdom - The most popular of the theme parks. It is the reason most people visit Disney World, from Main Street to Fantasy Land to Cinderella Castle to the fireworks. It's where magic lives.
Magic - Specifically Disney Magic, it's more of a feeling than the "pulling a rabit out the hat" kind of magic. If you're a Disney Fan you know what I'm talking about.
Mulan - Brave-Check, Smart-Check, Beautiful-Check, Loyal-Check. Mulan had it all didn't she, and she proved herself to her family and to the other soldiers she trained and fought beside.
Mushu (Mulan) - This little dragon was wonderful comic relief in this movie.
Monster's Inc. - From Monstropolis to Mike to Sully to Boo I love this movie. It's got a good story, great characters, comedy, suspense. I think this is my favorite Pixar film.
Mike Wazowski - How could you not love a short, round, one eyed, green guy who loves getting on TV or in magazines even if his face is covered up??
Mufasa - I said it before, a true example of what a father should be. Simba didn't have his father for long, but he had a heck of an example for as long as he had him.
Michael (Peter Pan) - One of the Darling children who accompanied Peter to Neverland. I believe Michael was the older brother.
Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty) - My favorite villain, she is just gorgeous and unapologetic for being evil. I mean if you're going to be evil you may as well look good while you're doing it and be commited to what you're doing, right...
Merryweather (Sleeping Beauty) - Merryweather is the blue fairy, she was about to give Aurora her gift when Maleficent put her curse upon her. So Merryweather's gift became that she would sleep until she was kissed by her one true love after touching the spinning wheel spindle instead of dying on her sixteenth birthday, so in essence it her gift was the gift of life.
Milo Thatch (Atlantis) - Milo believed in Atlantis when noone else did. He's one of those Disney characters you can't help but cheer for.
Mad Hatter & March Hare (Alice in Wonderland) - The Mad Hatter is such a colorful character you have to give him props for that. He is interesting to say the least. The March Hare, well there wouldn't really be a story without him now would there?
Mrs. Potts & Maurice (Beauty and the Beast) - Mrs. Potts, Chip's doting mom, is such a delight in the movie. She is so sweet and kind. Maurice is a wonderful father to Belle, he loves her to a fault and Belle loves her father just as much in return.
Melody (The Little Mermaid II) - Ariel & Eric's daughter, you know Ariel's daughter isn't going to be passive. She is very cute, the movie is good but definitely doesn't compare to the original.
Meg (Hercules) - Meg had no idea she would really fall for Hercules when she sold her soul to Hades so she could bring her love back to life. Everything happens for a reason, you can't change the past.
Mowgli (Jungle Book) - The man cub, Bagheera so cleverly named him, really didn't want to go live in the man village. If he and Baloo had their way he would have just lived in the jungle forever, that young girl had to go and change his mind.
Mr. Smee (Peter Pan) - You have to admit he is loyal to Captain Hook to a fault. It is so funny when he shaves the seagull thinking he has shaved off Captain Hook's face. He is one of my favorite characters from Peter Pan.
Morph & Mr. Arrow (Treasure Planet) - Morph is just that, he can morph into anything, and he really does love both Jim and John Silver, the cyborg. Mr. Arrow, the first mate, loyal and true-too bad that ugly insectoid Scroop cut his line.
Mad Tea Party - A classic Disney Ride, plain and simple. It's not a thrill ride, but I'll bet it's on everybody's "Must Do" list.
Main Street USA - I think Main Street was designed after Walt's own hometown. I know it feels like home as you walk down it in the Magic Kingdom.
Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor - The master of ceremonies us Mike Wazowski, you know it's gonna be fun. You can even text your own jokes in and see if yours gets picked to be in the show, how fun is that?
Mexico & Morocco Pavilion - The Mexico pavilion has an Aztec pyramid, how awesome is that.You can even take a boat ride there. Have to watch the belly dancers in the Morocco Pavilion for sure.
Mission: SPACE - Look out Mars, here we come! Going 8,000 aeronautical miles in 5-1/2 minutes, nowhere else but Disney.
Maharajah Jungle Trek - Asian Tiger, Komodo Dragon, Malayan Tapir and over 50 species of exotic birds inhabit this area of the Animal Kingdom. It is a self guided tour so you can walk at your own pace.

Reasons I Love Disney A-Z..."L"
"L"
Little Mermaid - This movie will always be a favorite, Ariel, Eric, Sebastian, Flounder have a special place in my heart. I love the music from this movie, I think my favorite character is Sebastian.
Lion King - Mufasa was such a good father, and he set such a good example. Don't we wish we had such good father figures in the real world. Simba was all boy too, the music was fun, what a great movie!!
Lilo & Stitch - Lilo single handedly introduced Elvis to a new generation. Stitch was funny just because of the trouble he could get himself into.
Li Shang & Ling (Mulan) - These two soldiers were very different, but both were very loyal to their country, their fellow soldiers and Mulan; even after they found out her true identity.
Lady Tremaine & Lucifer (Cinderella) - Both were villains in the movie weren't they. Lady Tremaine is the definition of "wicked step mother" and Lucifer was the ultimate enemy of the mice-who were Cinderella's true friends.
Lumiere (Beauty and the Beast) - What a ladies man...he was suave, charming, and that french accent, ooh la la, look out feather duster.
Le Cellier Steakhouse - Probably one of the most popular restaurants at Disney World. I have not tried it yet, maybe this trip I am on the fence about making reservations. I need to make my decision very soon or I won't be able to get in.

Reasons I Love Disney A-Z..."K"

King Louie & Kaa (Jungle Book) - Two of the many memorable characters from this wonderful movie. I love King Louie singing "Ooo,Ooo,Ooo, I wanna be like you, you, you." and Kaa talking with all the SSSS almost with a lisp, and hypnotising Mowgli with his eyes.
Kanga - Mom to little Roo in the Hundred Acre Wood. She is one of the only female characters I can think of, in fact the only one I can think of right now.
King Stefan & King Hubert (Sleeping Beauty) - Aurora & Prince Philip's father's respectively from the story. I have already said this is my favorite movie of the antimated Disney Classics.
King Triton (The Little Mermaid) - King Triton truly gives such a big sacrifice when he allows Ariel to remain human and marry Eric. That is a father who loves his daughter beyond measure.
Kali River Rapids - I know I have said this before, but during our last trip to Disney World there was one of the worst cold snaps ever. We didn't get to ride Kali River Rapids, and I was horribly disappointed. I don't think I need to worry about that in July. This is on the "Must Do" list this time.
Kilimanjaro Safaris - Dakota is such an animal lover this has to be on the "Must Do" list as well. Last trip there weren't a lot of animals wandering around, hopefully this time we will get to see a lot more.
Keelhaul Falls - We are taking a day to enjoy the water park this time, Keelhaul Falls is in Typhoon Lagoon. Here is how Disney describes it "Take a tropical whitewater adventure on a scenic, palm-lined course down Mount Mayday. Grab your single-rider inner tube and get ready for a curvy waterslide through caverns and waterfalls before splashing down in a refreshing pool at the bottom. Look for some surprises along the way down the mountain!" Sounds like fun to me!!

Jungle Book - Mowgli, Baloo, Bagheera, King Louie; I love the characters from this movie!! This music is great, the story is great! Ash & I watched it hundreds of times when she was little.
Jasmine - One of the Disney Princesses, she has to be on list. And I love the movie Aladdin. She is beautiful and exotic, and she has a pet tiger, how cool is that???
Jafar - As long as we are talking about Aladdin, we can't forget it's villain now can we?
Jack Jack (The Incredibles) - Baby Jack Jack, the youngest of the Incredibles.
James Norrington (Pirates of the Caribbean) - His life changed considerably from the first movie to the third. Aren't we glad Elizabeth didn't marry him!!
Joshamee Gibbs (Pirates of the Caribbean) - Mr. Gibbs, I bet you didn't know his first name did ya!!
Jiminy Cricket - Pinocchio had to have a conscious and who better than Jiminy Cricket to do the job?
John (Peter Pan) - One of the Darling children who accompanied Peter to Neverland. I didn't see this movie until I was almost 40, and I loved it immediately, and the ride is definitely a favorite at Disney World.
Jetsam (The Little Mermaid) - Along with Flotsam, one of those evil electric eels of Ursula's!
Jessie (Toy Story) - What a shame this little red headed fireball of a cowgirl had to spend all those years not being played with. She is so much fun in Toy Story 2, and she was really meant to have a little girl play with her, thank goodness Buzz and Woody rescued her from that Toy Barn guy!!
Jungle Cruise - It's a hokey ride, but it is a Disney classic. I am sure we will be on it come July.
Japan Pavilion - I think Japanese architecture is so beautiful, I am really looking forward to seeing the Japan Pavilion at the World Showcase in EPCOT. I hear the pagoda, rock garden and koi ponds are stunning.

IllumiNations - During our last trip, Mike & I both got sick on the day of our arrival. That was the night we had our reserved spot to view the fireworks at EPCOT. Hopefully some eight and a half years later I will finally get to see IllumiNations. Ash & Dakota got to see them and from their descriptions it will be worth the wait.
Italy Pavilion - As I have said before I am really looking forward to visiting the World Showcase.
Imagineers - I love that this is what Disney calls the engineers that create all the fun stuff we get to do while we are there. It's just a cool name.
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular - OK ,I have to admit I have a crush on Indy. One of my FAVORITE movies ever Raiders of the Lost Ark. Just because it's based on this character it has to be on this list, period.
It's Tough to be a Bug! - Based on A Bug's Life, we saw this last time we were at Disney. I love the extras with the wind in your face and the 3-D effects and you can feel the bug get you in the back of your seat. And it's inside the Tree of Life, you can't go wrong with that.

Reasons I Love Disney World A-Z..."H"

Hollywood Studios - One of the "Big Four Parks" you know you're there when you see Sorcerer Mickey's hat. The absolute must sees are Rockin Roller Coaster, Toy Story Mania & Tower of Terror.
Hamm (Toy Story) - This cute little pink piggy bank from the Toy Story movies knows everything or at least thinks he does. Don't we all know somebody like that??
Hercules - This movie came out the year Dakota was born, 1997. Hercules is the son of Zeus and Hera, you all know about his amazing strength. Hades is his brother and nemesis, it is not my favorite Disney movie, but it is a good movie nonetheless.
Happy (Snow White) - "Heigh-Ho, Heigh-Ho it's of to work we go..." another of Snow White's dwarfs.
Haunted Mansion - Not nearly as scary as it sounds, I love this ride. The special effects are great, the cobwebs and dust are perfect and the hitchhiker you pickup along the way is great. I can't wait to visit the mansion again on this trip.
Hidden Mickey's - It's so much fun to look for these all over Disney World isn't it! Just google it and you will find tons of hints and info to get you started.
Hundred Acre Wood - Where else would you find Pooh, Tigger and all their friends? I would be a really magical and fun place to live wouldn't it?

Reasons I Love Disney A-Z..."G"

Grand Floridian Resort & Spa - "Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is a Victorian-style Disney Deluxe Resort distinguished as the flagship hotel of Walt Disney World Resort and offering world-class dining, entertainment and luxurious accommodations in its 6 striking red-gabled buildings. This magnificent hotel sits along the white-sand shores of Seven Seas Lagoon." This is a quote from the Disney website so I suppose I couldn't have said it better myself.
Grand Floridian Cafe - I have to be totally honest and tell you the main reason I want to eat here is to have the dessert sampler which includes Tiramisu, Chocolate-Hazelnut Mousse Cake, Key Lime Tart & Lemon Cheesecake. Does that not sound absolutely delicious!!
Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop - Hello, the name of the shop says it all. Thank you.
Goofy - "Gawrsh" you gotta love this member of the "Fab Five." Dakota was only 5 when we went to Disney World last time but his most vivid memory is of Goofy sneaking up behind me to "bite" my head half off at breakfast one morning. He stills laughs about that today.
Grimsby (The Little Mermaid)- Bet you forgot about Grimsby, Eric's manservant from The Little Mermaid didn't you? He is on the deck of the ship turning green about to give Eric a statue of himself as a birthday present when the storm comes along that eventually brings Ariel and Eric together.
Genie (Aladdin) - Arguably the true star of the movie Aladdin, I don't think Disney could have chosen a better actor than Robin Williams to voice this character. He was so funny, you watched to see what he was going to do next as much as you did to see what was going to happen with Aladdin and Jasmine.
Grumpy - I referenced Grumpy in an earlier post about the dwarfs from Snow White, but can't leave him out here.
Geppetto (Pinocchio) - There's nothing Geppetto wants more than a real little boy, but he sure never expects the Blue Fairy grant his wish and turn Pinocchio into a real boy.
Gopher (Winnie the Pooh) - It's so much fun to listen to Gopher whistle when he talks wearing his construction hat complete with a light in front. You've got to love those creatures in the Hundred Acre Wood.
